BACKGROUNDThe business and its homepage
A bakery selling cupcakes, cookies and brownies had a warm, upbeat homepage with two ways to buy: visiting the shop or ordering for delivery. The products were appealing and easy to recognise, but important practical details about location, delivery and the next step were not immediately clear.
WHAT THE REVIEW FOUNDThe fresh-eyes view
The product range was clear and the homepage supported both shopping routes. However, the opening lacked one primary action, useful location and delivery information appeared later, and several headings were too vague to help someone scanning quickly. Product categories also became less noticeable on mobile.
